Couples Therapy
Even with the right person, being part of a couple is hard work. Add children to that equation and it can seem like your differences feel unsurmountable. Couples therapy need not be long and drawn out; many couples come for a period of time, then head back into their lives, then return again at a later date for a “tune up” when other matters arise. Issues couples may seek help with may include but are not limited to the following:
- Parenting conflicts
- Differences in sexual desire
- Issues around finances, extended family members
- Getting reconnected after having grown apart
- Seemingly “irreconcilable” differences
- Infidelity
- How to separate amicably/being a good divorced parent

Often there may be one or both partners with individual issues such as substance abuse, violence, excessive anger, or unresolved trauma. These matters will be discussed but it may be advised that they be dealt with separately.
